In the Treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in Adults PFA, we seek to fund comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) studies that aim to determine which specific treatments for adults with PTSD are most effective, and for whom. Proposed comparators may include psychological interventions, pharmacological interventions, or a combination of the two, and all proposed comparators must have demonstrated evidence of efficacy (from systematic reviews, prior empirical investigations, or other scientific documentation). PCORI is especially interested in studies that are inclusive of a broad patient population, including those with comorbidities, and in studies that are powered to assess the effectiveness of treatments in subgroups of interest.
